A Big Bite

The Haffenreffer Museum came for the last time this year and we learned all about the Hopi.   We are almost done learning about the Southwest and this program was a great way to help wrap up our journeys across the USA.

Aidan's mom and dad came in to talk to all of the 4th graders about their jobs working for the US government as Immigration Officials.  We learned so much about what it takes to become a citizen of the United States, not just because they work for INS, but because Aidan's dad is an immigrant from Poland!  We learned so much about his experiences as an immigrant to the US and why he became a citizen.  This was one of the absolute BEST presentations we have ever had!! Thanks so much to Mr. and Mrs. K for sharing their time and experience with us.  We loved it!
We have been building series and parallel circuits and electromagnets in science.  We will take the electricity test Thursday and participate in a grade level activity to create a hands free light set this Friday.
The chorus/recorder concert was AMAZING.  Click here, here and here to view the videos.
There are many exciting activities planned for this week.  I can't believe there are only two weeks left!  Where has the year gone?
