A Big Bite

Coolest t-shirt of the day!

Two projects from the Midwest-can you guess what they are?

Bryan's birthday snack-candy sushi rolls! No kidding!Unfortunately, the plate did not survive its encounter with the floor!

It was a short week in room 23, but much was accomplished! The ELA MCAS is over and we are happy to get back to our regular routine in Reader's Workshop. In math, we have continued in chapter 9 on decimals, fractions and percents. On Thursday we began a pop-up book of Mt. Rushmore which will get finished this week. In science we began talking about tides, currents and the ocean. This will be our last unit of study in weather, and we will also learn about the different types of wild weather. Many of us seem excited to participate in rock poetry day and several songs have been chosen already. There is a wide range of musical taste in our class! Mrs. Mac reports that we are all doing really well with recorder karate so keep practicing. Be on the look out for a notice with several important dates for grade level activities. I will post all dates to the blog when I distribute the notice. Have a great weekend!
