A Big Bite

What a great concert we had this week!  Everyone sounded awesome on their recorders and the singing was incredible!

We have been working on fractions in math and this will continue through March.  Parents are always welcome to join us for math class!  Using manipulatives is a great way to learn about fractions!

In reading, we continued working on reading nonfiction and set goals for the new year with clear action steps.  The students are excited to persevere on their goals.

Our new science unit, Animal adaptations and plant structures kicked off with a Skype Visit to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West! It was THE BEST SKYPE visit we have ever experienced.  Ask your child all about it.

Do you like mini golf?  We do!! We were able to design our own holes on a mini golf course in the gym during PE this past week.  Coach Banks even scored a hole in one on one of the holes we designed.  We all cheered when he made it!

Our week ended with a mini lesson on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his impact on American history.  It was also CRAZY hair day.  Well done Room 23!  If there had prizes, we would have come in first place!

Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Williams
