A Big Bite
This week we focused on having an Attitude of Gratitude. We practiced giving compliments AND receiving compliments. We spent time discussing all of the many ways we are thankful for what we have and what we are able to do. Our goal is to continue this work throughout the year.
We have really jumped into multi digit multiplication and there were many tweets sent out during our math lessons. More to follow.😄
We have been focusing on the different structures of non fiction and the different text features found in non fiction as we learn about Mexico and more weather concepts. Everyone loves it when we are able to participate in science and social studies in the same day and I love it when the curriculum overlaps in such a way that we are studying all of the subjects at once; it really is such a fun and cool experience.🙌
Many students have been working hard preparing their speeches for Tuesday. I have seen many written speeches already and have given suggestions for revisions. Great work so far! These are going to be great and I can't wait.
Next week is a short week as we prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday. As always, there is plenty to do. Be on the lookout for a writing project and a holiday craft to be coming home on Tuesday!
Students, please Click here to complete the latest student survey. It is due on Monday, November 21, 2016.
Parents, here is a link to the latest parent survey if you have not yet had a chance to complete it. Thanks!
Have a great weekend!
