A Big Bite

I can't believe that we have been back from vacation for two weeks!  In that time we have learned more about fractions and decimals, taken a Google Expedition to Washington D.C. and have written a research paper about Washington D.C.  We also finished Snow Treasure in reader's workshop and have started a mini unit on Greek mythology.  Our dog essays are done and we have started to write, "the next chapter." in Snow Treasure in addition to writing snowflake poems.  We have had several special activities as well; Haffenreffer Museum, Webinar with Cressida Cowell and Dress Like Your Favorite Book Character day.  Some authors even liked our Tweets about their characters and tweeted back at us (see Twitter Roll on the right). Who would have thought that our first snow day of the year would be in March but that happened too!  Next week brings a math test and the last speech of the year.  Ask your child about the pictures below. Time is flying by in 4th grade.  Phew!
