Our selections for week 2 of #PictureBookMonth |

Families are participating in #PictureBookMonth at home!! I love this book!
|
We have been learning many new skills this week like multi step multiplication in math, all about Mexico in social studies and inherited and non inherited traits in science. There were some very interesting pictures of ancestors shared with the class and we had fun looking for similarities between the ancestors and their descendants. We saw relatives with similar smiles, eyes, chins and hair color to name a few. In reading we have focused on using text features to improve comprehension when reading non fiction. We are continuing to write poetry and have completed a quick write on a favorite noise. Mrs. Merten is keeping us busy in Tech workshop by teaching us how to make videos! Everyone has chosen to make a book trailer as their video project. It is hard to believe that we only have seven days of school before the Thanksgiving break. Make sure you check out the important dates gadget for information about upcoming tests and projects. Students, please leave a comment about your favorite picture book from this past week!
Have a great weekend, stay warm!
