This is it for pictures this week! Here we ALL are with Pamela Baker, WBZ meteorologist. This was a great presentation and everyone LOVED it. I hope that you got to see everyone on Channel 4! Check their website if you missed it. We will wrap up our study of weather next week and take a test on Thursday. The study guide was sent home this past Thursday.
We jumped right into learning this week after the Thanksgiving break. We are learning the "low stress," method of long division. Students are doing very well with this new concept. Keep practicing your facts, it will help!
We have started a new interactive read aloud, Little Dog, Lost, by Marion Dane Bauer. We are enjoying this story about a little dog named Buddy and a boy named Mark. We are engaging in digital literacy for this book. Fun stuff! Feel free to send me a picture of your student with his/her pet and I will post it to the log.
In writer's workshop we have started developing a character for a fiction story and are working on nouns in word study. We finished reading "Gone Fishing," by Tamera Will Wissinger in poetry workshop and will be writing memory poems next week.
