A Big Bite
We have had a great week! In math we are learning about fractions and decimals and will be taking a test on Friday. Check out Mrs. Merten's blog for some fun math games involving fractions and decimals. We have spent time working on research for the Washington D.C. project and are learning about clouds and wind in science. We finished writing essays and have started working on poems with a mythological theme. We read many fun myths this week and talked about different allusions from Greek mythology that are used in English, like; "If looks could kill," "That's a real Pandora's Box," and "He was a Titan of industry," to name a few. We had great fun celebrating Read Across America Day. #READREADREAD. We also have modified our morning meeting/message to be more in line with Responsive Classroom philosophy while maintaining our own unique individuality. :) As part of our end of the week wrap up, we have been having fun making yarn webs to share our ideas. Ask your student about their "High, low, 'betcha didn't know."
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Williams
