Next Saturday, May 4th, is Free Comic Book Day.  There are two great independent comic book stores in Bellingham, Friendly Neighborhood Comics and Rubber Chicken Comics. The owners and staff in both stores are very helpful and friendly and I love both of these stores.  Click here to learn more about Free Comic Book Day.  What a great way to end National Children's Book week, with a free comic book!  Let me know if you go and participate.

You're It

A Big Bite

Scientist Sam visited 4th grade this week to teach us about light and other fun physics concepts, it was a highlight for many students!  We are learning to use protractors in math as we continue to focus on geometry.  There will be a test this coming Thursday.  Two days this week were spent on the ELA MCAS and everyone worked hard, math will be in the middle of May.  On Friday, some students chose to stay inside for recess and watch a fun video of songs and animals which is a favorite of one of our classmates.  Thanks to Mrs. Merten for letting us watch in her room with some of our friends in room 24.  The students told me that they cannot believe that there are only 35 days left in fourth grade.  The most common response was, "This year has gone by so fast!"  Yes it has gang, yes it has.
