A Big Bite

Good afternoon!

Winter is here...BRRRR!!!!   We have started a unit on fractions in math and this unit will last several weeks.  We are focusing on how to create equivalent fractions and show equivalent fractions with a model.  The students have a math project to complete at home called the , “Fraction Poster.”  It will be due on FebruARY 11TH. We continue to learn about the earth in science and our VR lessons with Mrs. Merten was exciting! It was great to see many historical sites around the northeast and Washington D.C. The students are enjoying our new interactive read aloud, Saving Winslow by Sharon Creech, about a little grey donkey and the boy who takes care of him.  Students are writing essays about the perfect dog for their family. Will there be a new dog in the future for your family?  Maybe. :)

Have a great weekend! Stay warm, it's going to be some of the coldest air that we have experienced in a few years.
