Juicy Nibble
We had a great Coffeehouse celebration today. It was wonderful to hear the children read their own original poetry. Thanks to Mrs. Hess for all that she does to help us weave visual arts into the curriculum. Several parents and one grandparent took advantage of the "open mic," opportunity to recite for the students; check out the videos below! Thanks to everyone who brought in goodies to help us end our celebration. The children were so excited to have you there, thanks for coming in! And the shirts look pretty cool, too! ;)

Zach's grandmother reads a poem that is important to her for all that it says to her grandchildren about being their own people!

Mr. T reads a poem by Joyce Kilmer. He attended the Joyce Kilmer Elementary school when he was a boy!

Mr. B reads a poem about peace that he translated into English from Arabic. Then he read it to us in Arabic. It was beautiful and moving in both languages!
